For every correct answer you get 1 point.
For every wrong answer you get 1/4 point.
For every minute you spend on a quiz you get 1/4 point.

Scaled Points for a Class

The scaled points are the total points of all juniors in a class divided by the number of juniors in that class.

Participation Points for a Class

Bonus points are added to the total scaled points for each class as participation benchmarks are reached.

+5 points for 25%
+10 points for 50%
+15 points for 75%
+20 points for 100%

Students in Mr. Joy's 4th period celebrate their close victory in the first round of the TCA competition with a class pizza party. Mr. Joy's 4th period defeated 12 other classes with 77.59 scaled points, just .04 of a point ahead of the second place team, Mr. Joy's 3rd period.

The 1st place individual award goes to Eliana DeLeon who earned 463.7 points in the two week competition.	Daniela DeLeon receives the 2nd place award for her 461.3 points.	Justin Thomas accepts his 3rd place award for his 365.8 points.
